Clothes
- Sun hat, good for bush bashing too
- Long sleeved shirt for walking
- Shorts, or togs to limit chafing
- Socks, 2 pairs one for walking and getting wet, one dry pair for the evenings
- Tramping boots
- Warm jursey
- Polypropylene top, keeps you warm even when its wet
- Polypropylene trousers
- Handkerchief
Medical
- Iodine solution. Stains but very effective, used in hospitals. Can be used to purify water, 5 drops of 2% solution per litre, wait 15-30 minutes depending if water is clear or cloudy
- Bandages
- Band Aid strip
- Thick, wide, strong "silage" tape for protection from chafing and holding things together in an emergency
- Medical tape, esp for toe blisters
- Pain killers

Each:
- Plate with sides
- Butter knife
- Fork
- Spoon
Cooking
per party:
- Pot with handle
- Gas cooker
- Gas cannister for cooker
- Two Lighters
Other
- Water bottle, 750ml is about right
- Torch, ideally small aa battery using LED headlamp
- Packet knife
- Compass, one per party
- 1:50,000 maps of the area, one set per party.

125 grams of dry food per person per day
- Pasta packet mixes
- Rice packet mixes

- Bacon, cooked to decrease weight and simplify usage - just chop it up and add to dinner
- Packet sauces, esp Spicy Itallian Sauce

- Scroggin: chocolate, dates, dried fruit esp. apricot, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, cashew nuts, licorice
